The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release.
Working closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers, this role ensures projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives.
This position serves as the technical validation lead for project execution, working with equipment SME on design reviews, vendor management, installation, commissioning, qualification, and issue resolution across multiple manufacturing projects.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
This position requires professional mastery of a specialized field of expertise that typically requires a college degree or equivalent.
Job requires a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree in process or equivalent and no experience.

Medical Device industry experience preferred

Education/Certification requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
02 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered).
PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related field)

Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.

Typical day to day:
Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams. Attend project meetings, assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT and validation activities, work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and maintain project documentation. The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks.
