The Associate Engineer will support purchase order detailing, CAD/CAM programming and Production initiatives for our build-to-order metal fabrication operation
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Apply knowledge of products and engineering systems to quickly and accurately enter customer specifications into our order management system.
  • Manage the flow of information and documents to create work orders and reports.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to create drafts for product components.
  • Tool parts and compile NC code for laser cutting machines and turret punch presses.
  • Work with engineering team members to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced research and development with product and process improvement teams.
  • Flex role for Production support cross training on the brake and punch press.
Requirements:
  • Process orders on tight timetables in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, templates and coded order entry forms.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and math skills.
Additional qualifications:
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM engineering tools.
  • Hollow metal frame & door industry experience.
  • Track record of success in a team environment.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Position details:
  • 40 hours per week with overtime as needed to meet customer service commitments.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Wilmington NC for 6 – 8 weeks for training.
