Cleveland-Cliffs Cleveland Works has an immediate opening for an Associate Environmental Engineer at the Cleveland OH facility in our Environmental department. This role is responsible for providing engineering support for our environmental program to continuously improve performance in Cleveland.Summary of ResponsibilitiesInterpret environmental regulations and determine impact on the facility.Develop and implement environmental strategies plans and procedures.Assist with environmental projects and provide technical direction to plant departments.Assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans.Prepare appropriate internal and external reports and timely submit utilizing proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office as well as various internal computerized systems.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations company policies and procedures.Participate in environmental-related investigations.Communicate environmental information.Maintain environmental records including OSHA recordkeeping.Assist in the development of emergency response plans.Update training data manuals and reference materials.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering environmental-related field.Must be willing to walkclimb throughout all mill areas.Must be willing to work at heights.Preferred QualificationsManufacturing or steel industry experience.Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
