Associate Epic Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented Associate Epic Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer to join our Information Services team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging training materials, eLearning courses, and educational programs that support Epic applications and integrated healthcare technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, eLearning development, and Epic workflows. This position works closely with Epic analysts, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to create effective learning solutions that improve workforce performance and support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training programs.
• Create engaging, interactive, scenario-based learning modules using instructional design best practices.
• Develop course curricula, learning objectives, assessments, job aids, and supporting documentation.
• Apply adult learning principles to improve learner engagement, retention, and performance.
• Test and validate course functionality, quality, timing, and user experience prior to deployment.
• Develop knowledge checks, assessments, and role-based learning scenarios.
• Collaborate with Epic analysts, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure training materials reflect current workflows and system functionality.
• Update curriculum and documentation to reflect system enhancements, upgrades, and workflow changes.
• Assist with training environment maintenance and testing activities.
• Coordinate training logistics, including course scheduling, registration, and classroom preparation when necessary.
• Analyze learner feedback and performance data to continuously improve educational content and delivery methods.
• Maintain expertise in assigned Epic applications, workflows, and related technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant Epic experience preferred.
• Experience in instructional design, training development, and eLearning creation.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience developing web-based and multimedia learning content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• Epic credentialed status and demonstrated knowledge of Epic modules and workflows.
• Experience with course authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia development software.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
