Escrow Assistant
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Location: Sonoma, CA
Schedule: Full-Time
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to support the Escrow Department by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support throughout the escrow closing process. This role is responsible for assisting with file preparation, document processing, fund handling, and maintaining accurate records to ensure timely and successful real estate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Escrow team.
- Answer incoming calls, greet customers, and respond to inquiries professionally.
- Open new escrow orders and complete initial file setup.
- Assist with the deposit and distribution of escrow funds.
- Prepare written transmittals for funds and documents.
- Process reconveyances and maintain escrow files before and after closing.
- Gather required information and documentation to facilitate escrow closings.
- Perform pre-closing file maintenance and post-closing follow-up on assigned files.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the escrow, title, or real estate industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
