Role Overview:

The Fund Support Specialist supports Institutional Life fund operations by ensuring accurate fund valuations, transactions, and system updates. Partnering with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders, this role helps maintain data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and enable timely, well-controlled processing and reporting.

The position involves complex fund-related analysis across sophisticated life insurance products. The role will require the ability to review policy administration systems data fields, comprehend policy language, fund agreements, investment, and accounting reports, as well as vendor fund statements.

The ideal candidate is an initiative-taker with strong math and finance skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, develop solutions, drive continuous improvement and a curiosity to find solutions using AI capabilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Facilitate and reconcile fund valuations ensuring accuracy across multiple administration systems.
  • Review and comprehend policy language and fund related documents related to fund transactions and activities.
  • Provide notifications to fund companies in various forms based on requirements.
  • Monitor fund price updates and communicate key changes to stakeholders.
  • Review and validate fund activity for accuracy and good order.
  • Process and peer review exempt fund transactions.
  • Support registered and exempt fund updates as they relate to additions, closures, and realignments.
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve fund related processing.
  • Support fund-related communications and reports.
  • Perform quarterly exempt fund reconciliations.
  • Gather information needed for fund-related audit confirmations.
  • Facilitate fund-related meetings.
  • Maintain workflow systems and repository related to fund related activities to ensure proper tracking and documentation.
  • Research and respond to fund related inquiries.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Function as a subject matter expert for fund related projects and lead projects as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, insurance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working with complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
  • Focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.
  • Must possess or obtain FINRA Series 6 license within 12 months of hire.
  • Must complete LOMA FLMI Program / Courses 1 and 2 within 12 months of hire.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $58,500 - $83,500

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Please note: This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
