    Description

    Pay: $225,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year

    Location: Hybrid in the Los Angeles, CA area. Team members living within 25 miles of the Glendale office work onsite Monday through Thursday. Candidates living 50+ miles away work onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing additional flexibility.

    Note: Candidates must possess an active California Bar license, 8+ years of attorney experience, including experience in the ad tech industry, along with 2+ years of experience handling technology/SaaS contracts and privacy/data protection matters. Strong commercial contracting experience supporting Sales and working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and cybersecurity laws are required.

    Job Description

    • Partner with executive leadership and business teams on strategic legal matters.
    • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex SaaS, technology, commercial, and enterprise customer agreements.
    • Support the Sales organization by negotiating high-value commercial transactions.
    • Lead legal guidance on privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and global data protection initiatives.
    • Advise internal stakeholders on CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and other U.S. and international privacy regulations.
    • Develop practical legal strategies balancing business growth with risk management.
    • Build scalable legal processes, templates, policies, and compliance programs.
    • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, HR, Security, Finance, and Operations teams.
    • Manage outside counsel when appropriate.
    • Monitor evolving AI, advertising, technology, cybersecurity, and privacy regulations.
    • Serve as a trusted legal and business advisor throughout the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Active California Bar license.
    • 8+ years of attorney experience.
    • 2+ years of experience negotiating technology and SaaS agreements.
    • 2+ years of experience advising on privacy and data protection matters.
    • Significant experience within the ad tech industry.
    • Strong commercial contracts experience supporting Sales organizations.
    • Working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and cybersecurity laws.
    • Experience with an in-house technology company and/or major law firm.
    • Strong business judgment and practical risk assessment skills.
    • Startup mentality with willingness to roll up your sleeves.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
