Designed for a seasoned healthcare attorney with 8–15 years of experience, this role serves as the primary legal advisor for a rapidly growing roster of health tech clients, combining specialized regulatory acumen with modern, AI-driven workflows.What You Will Be DoingClient & Founder Advisory: Serve as the primary legal advisor across HIPAA compliance, FDA digital health frameworks, and complex healthcare regulatory matters.Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), vendor agreements, health data-sharing arrangements, and specialized commercial deals.Precedent & Template Architecture: Build, standardize, and maintain healthcare contract templates and precedent libraries integrated directly into the firm's AI-native workflows.Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Develop training materials and lead educational sessions to guide non-specialist attorneys encountering healthcare issues.Practical Guidance: Translate dense regulatory complexity into clear, actionable, founder-friendly guidance while partnering with internal tech teams to optimize legal delivery tools.Key Requirements8–15 Years Specialized Experience: Deep, focused practice in healthcare regulatory and health tech transactional law (not a generalist background).Core Contract Mechanics: Extensive, hands-on experience drafting and negotiating BAAs and health tech-specific agreements.Regulatory Expertise: Expert-level, current working knowledge of HIPAA, FDA digital health guidance, and healthcare compliance frameworks.Active AI Tool Fluency: Current, practical usage of AI legal tools and a high level of comfort operating within AI-native legal workflows.Bar Admission: Active J.D. and bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (US citizen or Green Card holder based in the U.S.).Demonstrated track record of building legal precedent libraries, template systems, or playbook automation.Nice-to-HaveAdvanced legal or business education, such as an LL.M. in Health Law, Master of Health Administration (MHA), or healthcare-focused MBA.Dual background spanning top-tier BigLaw healthcare practices and in-house health tech or regulatory agency experience.
