Associate, Human Resources

The Associate, Human Resources role provides support to the organization related to hourly recruiting, onboarding new hires, processing unemployment claims, scheduling performance management training, acting as a partner with employees and Leadership, reportingHR metrics, as well as assisting with all other related HR projects and initiatives. This position is responsible for product safety, quality and legality.

Primary Responsibilities

Schedules, prepares, and facilitates the logistics for new employee orientation and onboarding.

Provides administration and assistance in all HR areas in regards to policies, procedures and programs.

Assist with resolving employees' HR-related questions and issues.

Advise HR leadership of potential HR-related issues and recommend and implement solutions as appropriate.

Answer basic functional questions and refers more complex HR matters to appropriate resources.

Assist with reviewing employee relations concerns and providing information and recommendations to HR leadership.

Assist the HR team and management with strengthening and enhancing the company's HR programs, policies, and processes.

Administer aspects of new employee orientations and trainings.

Administer hourly recruiting, sourcing, and screening.

Maintain job files and ensures proper dispositioning of all applicants.

Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with record retention policy.

Administer the performance management program according to design reviews.

Prepare and respond to unemployment claims.

Enhance, conduct, and/or assist with the administration of the company's internal training programs to align with long term HR goals and objectives.

Prepare HR reports pursuant to government and management requirements.

Prepare and distribute required federal, state and local HR-related notices.

Education/Experience

Associate's degree/equivalent in human resources, business or other related discipline or one (1) year professional experience as a generalist including experience with recruitment/employment practices, employee relations, EEO/AAP administration, management development and leave of absence administration required.

PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent certification preferred.

Strong knowledge of HR-related best practices, government regulations and industry standards.

Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, FLSA and all HR related state and federal regulations required.

Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service driven.

Strong team player.

Working Conditions

General office environment that is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available.
