Position Summary

The Associate Inventory Planner supports the development and execution of inventory strategies that deliver

reliable product availability, productive inventory, and efficient flow for Lowe’s Pro Supply MRO customers.

This role manages item- and category-level replenishment plans across distribution and delivery channels,

balancing customer service requirements with financial, capacity, and supply-chain objectives.

The Associate Inventory Planner uses replenishment systems and data analysis to identify demand changes,

supply risks, and inventory opportunities. In partnership with merchandising, suppliers, operations, and

marketing teams, this role drives timely execution of inventory plans, resolves root causes of service issues,

and provides insights that improve in-stock performance, inventory turns, and overall business results.

What You Will Do

• Manage item- and category-level inventory and replenishment plans to support Lowe’s Pro Supply

  customer needs.

• Execute inventory strategies across distribution and applicable fulfillment channels, aligning plans to

  demand, capacity, and service objectives.

• Monitor weeks of supply, in-stock performance, inventory turns, fill rate, service levels, and aged

  inventory; identify risks and recommend actions to improve product availability and inventory

  productivity.

• Partner with suppliers, merchants, marketing, distribution, and operations teams to ensure plan

  execution and mitigate supply-chain disruptions.

• Communicate performance, inventory risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and cross-functional

  partners.

• Support continuous improvement through process documentation, best-practice sharing, and

  customer-focused inventory decisions.

• Provide clear, customer-focused communication regarding inventory decisions and service impacts.

  Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent

  combination of education and experience may be considered.

• 2+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, merchandise planning or

  replenishment.

• Experience using inventory or replenishment systems to manage inventory flow, evaluate service

  levels, and resolve inventory issues.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience using data visualization or analytics tools, such as Tableau or

  Power BI, to interpret and communicate inventory performance.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause-analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks early, and make sound recommendations in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across

  merchandising, supplier, transportation, distribution, and replenishment teams.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-to-business, distribution, wholesale, or professional-customer

  inventory environments.

• Experience with forecast, replenishment, ERP, warehouse-management, or supply-chain planning

  systems.

• Knowledge of inventory productivity metrics, including in-stock performance, fill rate, inventory

  turns, lead time, and aged inventory.

• Experience participating in process-improvement initiatives or implementing operational

  improvements
