    Description

    The Associate Counsel will provide legal support across the organization under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer. This role is ideal for an early‑career attorney seeking broad exposure to corporate law while supporting a life sciences company operating in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities include commercial contract drafting, regulatory compliance, litigation support, legal research, and other day‑to‑day legal issues affecting the business. The successful candidate is a proactive, collaborative problem solver with excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills who enjoys partnering with business leaders to deliver practical legal solutions that support the Company's strategic objectives while effectively managing legal risk.Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Legal SupportProvide day‑to‑day legal support to departments across the Company.Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and other legal matters.Assist the Chief Legal Officer in identifying legal risks and developing practical business solutions.Maintain legal files, contract repositories, and corporate records.Commercial ContractsDraft, review, revise, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.Track contract status and ensure proper execution and record retention.Assist business teams with contract interpretation and administration.Regulatory & ComplianceAssist with corporate compliance initiatives and regulatory matters affecting the Company.Help develop, maintain, and update corporate policies and procedures.Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders.Assist in preparing and delivering legal and compliance training.Support internal investigations and compliance reviews as needed.Assist in managing litigation and administrative proceedings.Coordinate document collection, legal holds, and discovery requests.Work with outside counsel under the supervision of the Chief Legal Officer.Cross‑Functional PartnershipPartner with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership to provide timely legal guidance.Participate in special legal projects and strategic initiatives.Required QualificationsEducation: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school.Licensure: Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.Experience: 1–2 years of experience practicing corporate law, commercial litigation, or a combination thereof. Prior in‑house or healthcare/life sciences experience is preferred but not required.Core CompetenciesStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.Experience with Agiloft Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software is a plus.Additional RequirementsParticipate in continual education activities and maintain applicable law license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
