ABOUT THE ROLEA banking organization is seeking an experienced client-service and operations leader to oversee daily teller activities while providing coaching, training, and operational guidance to a frontline team. This role serves as a subject matter resource for banking products, transaction processing, operational procedures, regulatory requirements, risk controls, and client service standards.
The ideal candidate has prior client-facing banking experience, strong leadership and coaching capabilities, and a thorough understanding of teller operations, transaction controls, compliance, and fraud prevention.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Support daily teller and branch operations while serving as both a team leader and hands-on contributor.
- Coach and guide team members through client transactions, service interactions, and operational procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for teller processes, banking products, systems, policies, and service expectations.
- Assist with daily workflow management, transaction volumes, balancing activities, and service priorities.
- Resolve escalated client concerns and complex transaction issues professionally and efficiently.
- Review and approve qualifying high-value transactions in accordance with established authority limits.
- Verify the accuracy and completion of daily logs, balancing records, transaction documentation, and operational reports.
- Reinforce compliance with banking policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk controls.
- Monitor for potential fraud, suspicious activity, operational risk, and process concerns and escalate appropriately.
- Support onboarding and training for new team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to promote team development.
- Conduct or support quality reviews of transactions, client interactions, and service activities.
- Ensure procedures, job aids, and operational documentation remain accurate and current.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Quality Control, Internal Audit, and other leadership teams on operational and control-related matters.
- Support initiatives designed to improve client experience, operational efficiency, and risk management.
- Assist with required audits and follow-up activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement sustainable solutions.
- Apply sound judgment when handling policies, procedures, regulations, and approved exceptions.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and operational standards.
