ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Associate Manager, Creator Relations will support Audible"s creator community in diverse markets around the world. This role is in the Content organization, and will work with internal stakeholders as well as independent creators - primarily authors, publishers, and narrators - to understand their goals and advocate for their needs. You will help build sustainable 1:1 creator relationships across different languages and cultures, develop creator support strategies tailored to regional needs, and serve as a bridge between international creative communities and Audible"s global teams. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Audible empowers independent creators while managing high-touch relationships with emerging voices in the audio storytelling space.

ABOUT YOU

You are a fast learner and entrepreneurial strategist who will master the intricacies of the business of making and distributing audiobooks while simultaneously serving as a business partner to members of the creative community. You have experience working with creators and have a solid understanding of their needs. You thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-changing, and collaborative environment where people are driven, enthusiastic and not afraid to take risks. You have experience supporting creators in international markets and understand how to navigate cultural nuances in different regions.

As an Associate Manager, Creator Relations, you will…

  • Build and grow creator communities through strategic relationship development, creator education, and brand awareness initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive playbooks, internal processes, and operational frameworks that document best practices and enable scalable creator support programs
  • Establish and manage 1:1 relationships with top-tier global creators, providing support in their native languages when possible, educating them on self-publishing fundamentals, and documenting interactions to track relationship health and inform partnership decisions
  • Understand top creators' content pipeline to inform content promotion across Audible surfaces, as well as content acquisition from new and existing partners
  • Work cross functionally with Content Programming, Marketing, Operations, Customer Care, Risk Management, and other internal Audible teams and content programs to ensure creator success
  • Act as a trusted voice of the creator in all internal discussions pertaining to Audible's service
  • Travel to support creator communities, represent the company at international conferences and creator events, meet with local communities, and identify regional opportunities

About the Company

A

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
