Associate Manufacturing Supervisor (Weekend Shift)

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Engineering Support Specialist to join our Manufacturing Test Infrastructure team in Pullman, Washington. We design, build, maintain, and support the test stations, fixtures, and cable assemblies used throughout SEL manufacturing facilities to ensure every product meets our high standards for quality and reliability.

This is an opportunity to lead a weekend build team within Manufacturing Test Infrastructure in Pullman, WA.

• Weekend Shift - Friday-Monday, 8:30am-7:00pm, with a shift differential of $10.00 per hour

This team builds the test stations, fixtures, and cabling that SEL Manufacturing facilities around the country depend on to run electrical tests on our boards and products. As the weekend supervisor, you'll lead a team that builds, verifies, delivers, and maintains those systems, and keep the shift running safely and on schedule.

A Typical Day Might Include

• Providing clear direction and priorities for the team.
• Working alongside your team on the build-test stations, fixtures, and cabling-and setting the standard for quality and craftsmanship.
• Supporting team members by removing roadblocks, solving problems, and keeping people, drawings, and materials ready.
• Inspiring and supporting employee performance and engagement by mentoring, teaching, and coaching your team.
• Implementing and improving processes to make the build safer and more consistent.
• Maintaining SEL culture and addressing detractors to our values.
• Modeling, teaching, and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

A background in electronics assembly, cabling, or test systems is a plus, though not required. This position also requires background check results satisfactory to SEL and a negative drug test result.

Physical Requirements

• Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
• Lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
• Ability to differentiate color
• Use of computer keyboard devices
• Reach, bend, twist

Pay Range Data: $31.68 - $43.08 per hour

Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role. Weekend Shift employees receive an additional $10.00 per hour differential.
