We are currently hiring an Associate Manufacturing Tech (Day Shift) at Celgard, a subsidiary of Polypore International, LP, operating in cell separation technology for lithium‑ion batteries.ResponsibilitiesOperate various industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment (extruders, laminators, ovens, deployers, slitters, coaters, mixers, core slabbers) and powered industrial vehicles.Prepare chemical solutions, monitor processes, and use instruments to test chemical product quality.Troubleshoot production problems and malfunctioning instruments.Practice safety and environmental standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.Ensure work meets company quality standards; conduct optical inspections and quality tests.Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for material transactions, traceability, process control, online inspection, testing, and statistical process control.Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.Communicate effectively with team members and other Celgard groups, acting as a communication link when assigned.Maintain training and cross‑training proficiencies; train new and current employees as required.Support production throughput, identify process improvement areas, and communicate findings.Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices regulations and maintain confidentiality of Celgard information.Participate in cross‑functional teams, lead meetings when needed, and serve on team roles as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 1 year of industry experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar environment.Good attendance and safety records.Ability to multitask, set up, and operate multiple machines.Computer skills and ability to learn various software programs and scanners.Stellar work ethic; able to work independently and in a team.Quick learner with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all organizational levels.Commitment to safety, environmental, and health guidelines.Self‑motivation, collaboration, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.BenefitsComprehensive healthcare benefits effective from the first day of the month.Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account.Vacation, 8 paid holidays, and 24 hours of floating holidays.401(k) Safe Harbor contribution and matching.Paid parental leave after one year of employment.Employee assistance program.Life and disability insurance.Working EnvironmentThis role is located in a manufacturing plant setting that involves chemicals.
