Job Description:

Role:The paid search associate media director is responsible for the daily management of assigned accounts and media teams.  This role oversees the development, presentation, implementation and optimization of the Media strategy within the framework of the overall plan.  This role is the key facilitator of cross-functional collaboration within the agency.In addition, this role is responsible to support business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively.Essential Functions/Principal Accountabilities of the Job:Dynamic Business LeaderEnsures paid search accounts are delivering on client expectationsCollaborates with integrated media and analytics teams to develop recommendations as well as provide analysis and actionable insightsForms decisive and insightful strategies to meet client objectivesHelps craft client objectives based on business and marketing knowledgeDemonstrates thorough understanding of client business and how to achieve resultsBuilds options to address objectives, works with internal teams to bring to lifeManages team effectively toward a single-minded goalDemonstrates clear understanding of trade-offs that influence media decisionsPaid Search InnovationStays current with the ever-changing digital landscape and its impact on clients’ paid search efforts and actively shares findings with the teamTests, learns, and applies findings where necessaryProactively measures activity to continuously improve client resultsDemonstrates initiative to learn agency and departmental systems and resourcesMedia VisionaryChampions innovation and change in evolving approach for client businessProactively seeks to redefine status quo with media partners and clientsLeverages insights regarding target consumer and media's role in communicationsCreates expectation of innovation and collaboration on teamProactively measures activity to continually improve client resultsTeam LeaderEffectively manages client, vendor, and internal relationships in and across departmentsEffectively manages a team to ensure work is high quality and on timeLeverages working relationships with outside vendors toward client benefitsMaintains a professional, can-do attitude at all timesInstills and rewards initiative among reportsProvides professional and discipline mentorship to grow career of reportsCommunicates effectively across all levels, including upward, lateral, and downwardContributes to a positive departmental and agency cultureNote: These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.Working Relationships, Autonomy, and Supervision:The Associate Media Director must interact regularly, and collaborate effectively with the all personnel of the Agency.The Associate Media Director will participate in the resolution of external client issues.Work direction is from: Group Media Director.Required Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:Education:A bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Skills and Experience:8-10 years of hands-on paid search/SEM experience (current title should be Supervisor level or greater).Working knowledge of Google Ads and Microsoft AdsExperience managing multiple paid search accounts and thought leadership on the effects of A.I. on SearchExperience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)Experience with organic search/SEO principles, third-party bidding tools (e.g., Search Ads 360), Google Looker Studio, and competitive insight tools (e.g., SEMRush)Proficiency in Google Shopping and Performance Max (PMAX)Local market planning/buying exposure a plus.Experience managing multiple clientsExperience in personnel administration, staffing, recruitment, and training.Strong experience delivering programs from hypothetical to flawless real world execution is a requirement. Competencies (characteristics and work style):Strong attention to detail;Strong collaboration skills;Ability to handle multiple tasks;Superior communication skills;Strong verbal and written presentation skills;Passionate and professional;Authentic team player;Strong respect of the creative process and product;Ability to contribute unique and original thinking and solutions;Active listener;Ability to manage and prioritize personal workload effectively;Results-oriented, with a commitment to accountability;Strength in dealing with change;Approachability;Ability to manage up well; andConveys integrity and trust. The salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles. Consideration may also be given to internal salary data for current or former employees in the same or similar positions.Salary Range: $100,000 - 110,000 annually
