Shift Details: 8:00A.M.-5:00P.M., M-F, (Call 7 days monthly)

Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a Colorectal Surgeon to develop and build our specialty practice in the Miami-Dade County area.

The Colorectal Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with benign and malignant colorectal conditions in addition to supporting General Surgery when needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality surgical care for a full spectrum of colorectal diseases.
• Perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted colorectal procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including GI, oncology, radiology, and pathology.
• Participate in call coverage and inpatient/outpatient care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based protocols, and program development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
• Support General Surgery call/referrals

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship.
• Eligible for Florida medical licensure.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and clinical excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic surgery (da Vinci platform).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is a plus given Miami''s diverse population.
