Job Summary

The Editorial Associate plays a vital role in supporting the editorial team and ensuring the production of high-quality medical communications. Responsibilities encompass various entry-level editorial tasks, assisting with content review, fact-checking, and coordination, all while learning and growing in the field of medical communications.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

1. Content Review and Proofreading:

  • Assist in reviewing and proofreading medical content, including manuscripts, abstracts, and educational materials
  • Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors to maintain content quality

2. Fact-Checking and Data Verification:

  • Verify the accuracy of scientific and clinical data presented in the content
  • Cross-check references and citations for accuracy and consistency

3. Learning and Professional Development:

  • Stay updated with industry best practices, medical terminology, and scientific advancements
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop editorial skills and knowledge, including AMA style

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a relevant field, including life sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Passion for editing and a desire to work in the medical communications industry.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and scientific concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using standard word processing and editing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
