Job Title Associate Mens Soccer Coach

Job Description

Join Purdue University Fort Wayne Purdue University Fort Wayne is currently seeking a full-time onsite Associate Mens Soccer Coach in the Athletics department. This position will support and promote the Athletics Department mission values and principles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and promotion of a competitive NCAA Division I Mens Soccer program. • Understand follow and enforce all NCAA bylaws League regulations and university academic and other policies and procedures. • Assist as requested with the recruitment of quality players. • Assist with the running of practices and practice content. • Assist as requested with the scheduling of contests as needed by the Head Coach. • Assist with travel arrangements, vehicles, meals, lodging, etc. • Assist with any needed coordination of team technical needs, ordering equipment, uniforms, gear, and/or supplies. • Participate in development activities under the direction of the Director of Athletics and/or Head Coach in conjunction with efforts of the Office of Advancement. • Assume temporary administrative roles as required needed by the Athletic Department. • Participate in departmental meetings, searches, committees as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree. • 3 years or equivalent experience as a collegiate coach. • Successful playing or coaching at the collegiate level, knowledge of NCAA DI rules and recruiting experience. • Working knowledge of NCAA DI rules, fundamentals, techniques, and rules of sport. • Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, parents, coaches, media, faculty, staff, students, and general public. • Ability to assist with recruit under highly selective academic and athletic standards. • Ability to assist in the assessment of athletic skills and instruct athletes in techniques of sport. • Ability to assist in the development of game strategies required. • Ability needed to work evenings and weekends at Athletic events. • Must have a valid drivers license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree. • Division I Level experience.
