Description

Associate Merchandiser
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Reports to: President

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and collaborative Associate Merchandiser to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their merchandising career who understands the apparel product lifecycle and enjoys working cross-functionally to bring products from concept to customer.

As our business continues to grow, you'll play an integral role in supporting merchandising, production, design, sales, and marketing throughout each season. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, detail-oriented, and excited to grow within a fast-paced apparel environment. We're looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, communicates well across teams, and is eager to embrace new technologies, including AI, as part of the merchandising process.

Responsibilities
  • Support seasonal line planning and merchandising initiatives.
  • Partner with Design and Production throughout the product development process.
  • Track production timelines and ETAs to help ensure products launch on schedule.
  • Coordinate samples, including sending products to clients, tracking returns, and gathering feedback on fit, materials, and overall product.
  • Communicate production updates, delivery changes, and timeline shifts with internal Sales teams to ensure buyers receive timely information.
  • Assist with line sheets and merchandising tools, including leveraging AI to improve efficiency and support planning processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Social Media, and PR.
  • Support merchandising needs for client meetings and presentations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Social, and PR teams to ensure the strongest products are featured across campaigns, photoshoots, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Help communicate the vision behind each collection so creative and marketing teams are aligned on key product priorities.
  • Maintain accurate merchandising information and support the team with day-to-day coordination throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, production, buying, sales support, or a related apparel function.
  • Understanding of the apparel product lifecycle from development through production and delivery.
  • Apparel industry experience required; denim experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and technologies, including AI applications within merchandising.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Who You Are
  • You enjoy connecting the dots between teams and keeping projects moving forward.
  • You're comfortable communicating with a variety of personalities and departments.
  • You're flexible, solutions-oriented, and thrive in an environment where priorities evolve.
  • You have a strong eye for product and understand how merchandising influences both the customer experience and the overall brand.
  • You're looking for a company where you can grow your merchandising career while learning directly from experienced leadership.
