Associate Microbiology

Key Responsibilities
Complete assigned routine laboratory tasks accurately and within established timelines.
Perform collection and/or testing of GMP samples in accordance with approved procedures.
Document, review, and report test results in compliance with GMP requirements.
Support laboratory administrative activities, including data entry, filing, and record maintenance.
Generate data reports and assist with trending analysis.
Maintain laboratory organization and housekeeping standards.
Provide testing support for department and cross-functional projects as needed.
Assist with training of new and existing staff.
Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate issues, risks, or compliance concerns to team leadership.
Effectively communicate laboratory challenges, deviations, and operational needs to the Team Lead and/or Manager.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills
High School Diploma with 1 year of experience in a regulated laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, or related industry environment; OR
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
Basic understanding of microbiology principles and aseptic techniques.
Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, and GMP documentation practices.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $67,000 to $89,000, plus annual bonus eligibility where applicable. Final compensation will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and business needs.
