Expected salary range of $77,400 to $86,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Responsibilities:

We are looking to hire 1 candidate for a January 2027 start and 2 additional candidates to start Summer of 2027.

 

Primary Purpose of Position

The responsibility of the Analyst is to follow and analyze energy markets and utilize market knowledge to identify and pursue commercial opportunities that add gross margin for the organization. Opportunities may take the form of long-term structured transactions, shorter term trading strategies, physical asset optimization or other that may develop.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Analyze and evaluate complex wholesale energy transactions to ensure that all relevant aspects are identified, priced and structured to meet internal and customer needs.
• Identify and respond to emerging market opportunities.
• Monitor new developments in the trading marketplace, including new entrants, counterparty activity, evolving market trends, and relevant regulatory or legal proposals.
• Develop and utilize complex models to price risk management products and derive forward prices.
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external clients to support and advance business goals.
• Use approved artificial intelligence and automation tools to enhance analysis, modeling, research, reporting, and workflow efficiency while validating outputs and protecting confidential information. 
• Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
• In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Energy Management, or another related quantitative, technical, business, or energy discipline.
• 2-years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Demonstrates decision making capabilities coupled with the ability to recognize and incorporate risk into plans
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate across teams
• Teamwork and self-motivation skills to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment
• Proven ability to manage, analyze, and summarize large datasets
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate analysis into actionable and practical conclusions
