Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Orthodontist to diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities. The ideal Lead Area Orthodontist is passionate about delivering high-quality orthodontic care, building strong patient relationships, and working collaboratively with a dental team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients to assess orthodontic needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat misaligned teeth and jaws using braces, clear aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances
- Take and analyze dental impressions, X-rays, photographs, and digital scans
- Adjust, repair, and remove orthodontic appliances as treatment progresses
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care
- Monitor treatment progress and modify plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sterilization standards
- Collaborate with general dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program
- Valid state dental license and orthodontic certification
- Strong knowledge of modern orthodontic techniques and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience with clear aligner therapy (e.g., Invisalign or similar systems)
- Comfort with digital orthodontic tools and practice management software
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
