Position Summary
The Associate Plan Support Consultant supports the administration and ongoing service of retirement plans for existing clients by assisting with plan-level service requests, documentation, and internal coordination. This role partners closely with Plan Support Consultants, Plan Documentation Specialists, Client Account Managers, and internal operational teams to ensure plan changes and administrative requests are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with ERISA and internal guidelines.
This position serves as a developmental role, building foundational experience in plan administration, documentation accuracy, and client service while progressively taking on increased ownership and client interaction. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Essential Functions
· Support plan-level service and administrative requests for existing clients, including assisting with plan changes, amendments, and documentation updates
· Gather, review, and validate required information and documentation related to plan design changes, amendments, and client requests
· Prepare and submit plan documentation through established workflows, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to review
· Assist with tracking documentation, approvals, signatures, and status updates within Salesforce and other internal systems
· Support Plan Support Consultants during plan design discussions and consultations by preparing background information and documenting outcomes as needed
· Review plan documentation for consistency with master plan documents, plan provisions, and regulatory requirements under guidance
· Serve as a support point of contact for internal partner inquiries, providing timely follow-up and clear communication
· Coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments to support accurate and on-time execution of plan updates
· Identify missing information, potential risks, or delays and escalate appropriately
· Perform administrative tasks to support daily operations, including data entry, document management, status tracking, reporting support, and maintenance of accurate plan records across systems
· Participate in training, documentation, and process improvement initiatives to build knowledge and improve team workflows

Experience
· 1–3 years of experience in the retirement industry, financial services, or a related client support or operational role preferred
· Prior exposure to 401(k) plan administration, documentation, or ERISA concepts a plus
· Client-facing or internal service support experience preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Certificates & Licenses
Progress toward industry designation (QKA, QKS, ASPPA, or similar) encouraged
