Associate Procurement Manager

A leading New York City Investment firm is looking for a tactical and strategic Associate Procurement Manager (Indirect) to join the team on an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of converting full time. This role will be looking after professional and business services categories.

Our client is a New York City based Investment firm.

The team have a hybrid working schedule, in the NYC office once per week.

Description

• Strategic sourcing, supplier management, data & analytics, outsourcing, commercial review, contract management, and the financing and acquisition of a broad range of products and services.
• Partnering with marketing, events, L&D, software, facilities, consulting, contingent labor and other categories to deliver projects.
• Leading and negotiating contracts/SOWs and T&Cs.
• Building relationships with vendors, to run renewal processes and reviews.
• Responsible for the procurement process from start to finish including intake, negotiation, sourcing, vendor management, category management all the way through purchase order requisition.
• Working closely with Finance and Legal.

Profile

• Hands on experience with an intake/workflow orchestration platforms strongly preferred e.g. Ariba.
• BA/BS (advanced degrees preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in Professional Services/Business Services procurement in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Categories managed: events, marketing, contingent labor, and procurement operations, or other relevant, transferable experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, practices and standards.
• Ability to function autonomously in stakeholder and project management, while collaborating closely with a Procurement team on broader strategy.
• Strong negotiation skills, ability to influence, and proven experience as a strong stakeholder manager across cross-functional teams.

Job Offer

• 6 month contract starting ASAP.
• Hybrid working in NYC.
• $59 - $69 per hour.
• Strong possibilities of converting full time.
