Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

The Associate Product Manager - Lifecycle is responsible to support the Product Lifecycle team by researching and then providing product analyses and competitive product and pricing trends both internally and externally that impact CareFirst product lines. The Associate Product Manager- Life cycle will work with multiple stakeholders to enhance existing products by coordinating the activities required to bring the product to market and mitigates issues related to the operation, distribution, and supply of products within their assigned portfolio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports product lifecycle team by collecting quantitative product data and metrics through market and competitive research. Gathers product requirements and aligning them with business goals. Coordinates with stakeholders to achieve the product vision and bring ideas to life.
  • Partner with the Product Manager - Lifecycle in the entire product development life cycle - developing and writing user stories to support the product lifecycle team, analyzing competitive product and pricing trends and features, engaging with Marketing to develop product marketing materials, and engaging in the technical product solution or single source of truth to document and supporting existing products. Assists with the development of new product features and works on developing product strategies.
  • Assists with go-to market strategy to support launch for new products; facilitates product release with operations, pricing; and sales. Educates internal and external stakeholders; and develops/delivers product presentations.
  • Conducts market and competitive product research by gathering feedback from customers and analyzing product landscape. Measures and ensures that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met by working closely with all areas of the company including pricing, operations, sales, and marketing teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor''s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor''s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of progressive experience managing Product Lifecycle and/or Product Management and Development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Highly developed analytical skills and must be able to effectively communicate complex marketing and business-related issues to a diverse audience (both written and orally).
  • Ability to build productive relationships, be effective in individual and group meetings, be skilled in conflict resolution negotiations, and be able to lead and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Aggressive in desire to produce innovative alternatives and be willing to defend suggestions in varied circumstances.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

Salary Range: $52,776 - $104,819
