Our purpose is to increase economic opportunity and make better money. We’re doing that through two connected parts that together make up the Reserve project.

Economic Opportunity 

UGLYCASH is a financial services app designed around the needs of people earning money on the internet: creators, remote workers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs whose banks weren’t built for how they earn.

We’re starting in Latin America. Over the last 22 months, UGLYCASH has reached $5M+ in revenue run rate and 32,000+ monthly active customers.

This is the side of the Reserve project you’ll be working on.

Better Money

What happens to that money after you earn it matters too.

Cash, money in a bank account, and payment stablecoins each work differently. We believe the money people use should do more than move from one place to another. It should also give people a better way to save and grow what they earn.

That’s why we’re continuing to improve the version of money UGLYCASH customers already use, with the long term goal of giving more people access to better options for their money.

Description

We're looking for someone early in their product career who has already found ways to make things happen.

You'll work directly with founders to explore and build new financial products. Our founders bring vision and hypotheses. You'll help turn them into products through customer understanding, evidence, experimentation, and execution.

We're hiring for the product owner you can become over the next 24 months, not the title you already have. You'll start with a focused opportunity, experienced people around you, and real responsibility. As your judgment grows, so will the size of the problems you own.

If you want to learn how new products go from an idea to something thousands of people actually use, this is the kind of seat that's hard to find.

What you could build

• Ways to earn, receive, and use money: Better payment collection, deposit experiences, and money movement for internet earners.
• Credit: New ways to make useful credit products available to more customers and markets.
• Activation and growth: Helping customers understand UGLYCASH's value and start using it.
• Products for specific customer groups: Building experiences for freelancers, online entrepreneurs, creators, and other communities with distinct financial needs.

These are examples of where the work could lead. Your first assignment will be a focused opportunity selected with the founders.

What you'll do

• Talk to customers, study their behavior, and figure out which problems are worth solving.
• Turn founder hypotheses into testable approaches and manageable first versions.
• Bring evidence that strengthens an idea or changes it.
• Use AI to research, analyze, prototype, and shorten the path from idea to useful learning.
• Work closely with engineering and design to take ideas from concept through launch.
• Measure what happens after something ships and use what you learn to make it better.
• Build the judgment to own increasingly ambitious product opportunities over time.

Requirements

You don't need a previous PM title or fintech resume.

We're looking for evidence of initiative, clear thinking, curiosity, and fast learning. Show us something you've built, improved, or taken responsibility for. It could come from a job, small business, coursework, personal project, or something you created independently.

You're curious about customers and the economics behind a product. You're comfortable with numbers, can explain your reasoning, respond to feedback, and know when to ask for help. Most importantly, you care whether an idea actually creates value for someone.

You've used AI to make something useful, whether that's a prototype, analysis, automation, tool, or other concrete result. You can explain your choices, identify mistakes, and improve the output.

Coding and SQL are a plus. The ability to learn technical systems and work effectively with engineers matters more.

Compensation: base salary + equity package

Real ownership: You won't spend two years executing someone else's roadmap. You'll help figure out what should exist and then help build it.

A defined 24-month growth path:

• First three months: Learn the customers and product, work alongside the team, and deliver a focused investigation or improvement.
• Months 3–12: Take on a defined initiative end to end, from discovery through launch and measurement.
• Months 12–24: Grow toward ownership of a meaningful product area or emerging line.

Increasing decision-making room: You'll get direct feedback and more room to make decisions as you show you can carry more.

This is a bet in both directions. You're betting on an early-stage company over a safer, bigger name. We're betting that real ownership, direct founder access, and the chance to actually build instead of executing someone else's roadmap matter more to you right now than a title you've already earned.
