Compensation

Base Salary + Commission Structure

  • For the first 12 months (until promotion to Product Specialist), commissions are capped at $6,000 per month.
  • After promotion at approximately one year, commissions become uncapped.
  • Top-performing Product Specialists typically earn $500,000–$750,000 annually.

About the Role

The Associate Product Specialist supports sales activities within a designated territory covering Hudson Valley New York, Westchester County, Albany with expansion opportunities. Core responsibilities include conducting clinical presentations, patient demonstrations, training sessions, and facilitating documentation required for sales and reimbursement processes.
This role is expected to transition into a full Product Specialist position within approximately 12 months, based on performance and organizational needs.


Responsibilities

Clinical & Sales Support

  • Educate physicians, clinicians, and patients on medical device systems and related services.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations for clinical staff.
  • Organize and facilitate local trade shows, workshops, and educational programs.
  • Support sales strategy execution to help achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.

Patient-facing Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct patient demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, equipment preparation, and patient measurements/fittings.
  • Teach patients and caregivers proper device use, including donning/doffing garments, operating controllers/apps, and adhering to treatment protocols.
  • Provide ongoing product support and device-related education.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Assist patients with completing documentation required for product access and reimbursement.
  • Collect prescriptions, authorizations, medical records, and other necessary documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Sunshine Act requirements.

General Duties

  • Provide customer education on lymphedema, venous disorders, treatment pathways, and reimbursement expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, market access, and sales training.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow structured sales processes.
  • Travel extensively within Northern MA, Southern NH, and Northern RI.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, or related field — or equivalent work experience.
  • 0–5 years of experience in home medical equipment, durable medical equipment (DME), or related medical sales roles.
  • Working understanding of healthcare coverage and reimbursement processes.
  • Sales experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements, based on hiring discretion.
