- Multimodal AI integrating text, imaging, and structured health data
- Scalable AI systems for large-scale biomedical data platforms
- AI methods for causal inference, prediction, and decision-making
- Teach graduate courses, as determined by the curriculum committees and the Dean
- Develop and participate in collaborative projects with all UTHealth Houston schools and other institutions across the Texas Medical Center, the state, the country, and the world
- Participate in committees at the school and university levels and contribute to the broader community
- Secure external funding for research initiatives
DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATICS
Responsibilities:
- Implementation and evaluation of AI in clinical care and health systems
- AI-enabled clinical decision support and workflow transformation

Qualifications:
- A PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree
- An exceptional record of external funding and scholarship
- Demonstrated leadership or high potential in AI, biomedical informatics, or computational health science
- Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and graduate education
