    Description

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions.

If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA

    Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Cultural Olympiad & Stakeholder Events, the Associate will support the Cultural Olympiad Team in the operational planning, project management, and hands-on execution of LA28’s signature cultural program.

Held in the lead-up and adjacent to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Cultural Olympiad is a foundational deliverable and a core requirement mandated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), that transforms the host city into a living stage for arts, culture and human creativity alongside the Games. While early Olympic Games featured medal events in sculpture, painting, music, literature and architecture; the model for the Cultural Olympiad programming used today shifts from competitions to community focused arts festivals and public programming. The LA28 Cultural Olympiad will celebrate and uplift the diverse culture of Los Angeles through original programming, partner collaborations and community-led grassroots events in signature disciplines that include Fashion, Film, Food, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. More information can be found HERE

    • Support in the operational planning, logistical setup, budget reconciliation and active onsite execution of signature Cultural Olympiad events, public programs, and activations leading up to and during the 2028 Games, including

    • Collaborations with brand partners and licensees on local artist integration and engagement for cultural programming deliverables
    • Management of external community partner relationships for the delivery of key Cultural Olympiad initiatives and activations
    • Manage essential operational and project management duties for the department, including
    • Coordination for key team meetings and tracking of external cultural engagement
    • Operational management of meetings and speaking opportunities, documentation of follow-up actions with community stakeholders and weekly project update report compilations
    • Management of legal agreements, procurement documents, and financial paperwork (contracts, invoices, expense tracking) required for Cultural Olympiad projects, vendor agreements and programming partners
    • Track key milestone deadlines set by the IOC and LA28 leadership, proactively flagging upcoming deliverables for the broader team
