POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects across hospital-based radiology client sites. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional efforts, maintaining project structure and accountability, and ensuring timelines, risks, and deliverables are actively managed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Support the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects across radiology and hospital-based operations
- Maintain project plans, timelines, milestone trackers, and risk logs to ensure visibility and accountability
- Track deliverables and proactively identify risks, delays, or dependencies; escalate issues as appropriate
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across hospital stakeholders, physicians, IT/informatics, vendors, and internal teams
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings; prepare agendas, document key decisions, and track action items
- Ensure timely follow-up on deliverables and reinforce accountability across stakeholders
- Assist in aligning operational workflows with contractual obligations and performance expectations
- Prepare clear, concise project status updates and executive-level reporting
- Support implementation of clinical systems, process improvements, and workflow optimization initiatives
- Reinforce consistent project management standards, tools, and documentation across all initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, healthcare operations, or a related environment
- Experience in healthcare, radiology, or hospital-based services strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
- Ability to analyze workflows and identify operational improvement opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication
- Confidence interacting with physicians, clinical leadership, and senior stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Visual acuity sufficient to interpret detailed diagnostic images
- Manual dexterity to operate computer systems and imaging software
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Occasional movement throughout clinical and office environments
