Responsible for serving at properties where there is a vacancy as a result of illness, scheduling or termination and perform and/or assist in all of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Property Manager Job Description.
Responsibilities:
Process monthly EIV reports and save in secured document files.
Process special claims.
Assist with completing move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
Assist with regularly conducting marketing surveys.
Implement positive resident relations program for the community.
Show, lease and complete application processing for potential residents.
Assist Property Manager in training and developing team members to achieve property benchmarks.
Inspect the property regularly and schedule improvements and repairs.
Complete and submit, timely and accurately, all records, reports and documents required by the Company and federal or state agencies.
Ensure compliance with all HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of residential or commercial facilities as Manager or Assistant Manager.
Experience with the following affordable program, if applicable to the hiring property: Conventional/Market, Section 8 Family, Section 8 Elderly, Tax Credit, RAD, Home, and the IRS’s Safe Harbor guidelines.
Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
Demonstrated supervisory potential.
Must have strong marketing and administrative skills and be flexible to work at many different properties.
High energy and an ability to work well with others is a must.
Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
Must have reliable transportation as travel throughout the portfolio will be necessary.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the English language.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
