Job Description

Healthcare Recruiter – Agency Staffing

WHO WE ARE

Join the Equiliem Team and Unleash Your Potential!

At Equiliem, we are more than a national recruiting firm—we are an award-winning organization continuing to grow our healthcare staffing practice.

We are looking for an experienced Agency Healthcare Recruiter who understands the pace, urgency, competitiveness, and relationship-building that come with recruiting healthcare professionals in a staffing agency environment.

This is an agency staffing position. Previous healthcare recruiting experience within a staffing agency or healthcare staffing firm is required. Candidates whose recruiting experience is exclusively corporate/internal Talent Acquisition will not be a fit for this role.

Experience recruiting Allied Health professionals is highly preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Healthcare Recruiter with Equiliem, you will own your recruiting desk and manage the full candidate lifecycle—from sourcing and outbound outreach through screening, submission, interview coordination, offer acceptance, and placement.

We are looking for someone who already understands healthcare staffing and can step into a production-driven recruiting environment. You should be comfortable proactively sourcing candidates, managing multiple requisitions, working toward recruiting metrics, partnering closely with Account Managers, and creating urgency around client needs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of healthcare recruiting experience within a staffing agency and has recruited healthcare professionals for hospitals, health systems, clinical facilities, or other healthcare clients.

Experience recruiting Allied Health professionals—including therapy, imaging/radiology, respiratory, laboratory, and other clinical specialties—is strongly preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Agency Healthcare Recruiting & Talent Delivery

  • Own multiple healthcare requisitions within a fast-paced agency staffing environment.

  • Proactively source, recruit, screen, and qualify healthcare professionals based on client requirements.

  • Conduct consistent outbound candidate outreach and pipeline development.

  • Evaluate candidates based on clinical experience, credentials, certifications, licensure, availability, compensation, and geographic requirements.

  • Present qualified candidates to Account Managers and clients with speed and accuracy.

  • Manage candidates throughout the full staffing lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, submission, interviews, offers, acceptance, and placement.

  • Work toward established recruiting activity, submission, interview, placement, and production goals.

  • Partner closely with Account Managers to prioritize openings and develop effective fulfillment strategies.

Healthcare Pipeline Development

  • Build proactive pipelines for recurring and high-demand healthcare positions rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.

  • Source healthcare professionals through job boards, resume databases, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, previous candidate relationships, and direct outreach.

  • Re-engage previous candidates and build long-term healthcare talent networks.

  • Maintain consistent communication with active and passive candidates.

  • Stay informed on healthcare staffing trends, compensation, candidate availability, licensure, and market conditions.

Candidate Screening & Management

  • Conduct structured phone and video interviews with healthcare professionals.

  • Assess clinical experience, credentials, certifications, career goals, availability, compensation expectations, and geographic preferences.

  • Discuss and negotiate compensation and employment terms.

  • Prepare candidates for client interviews and maintain engagement throughout the hiring process.

  • Manage candidate expectations and communicate updates quickly and professionally.

  • Build relationships that create repeat candidates, referrals, and long-term talent networks.

Healthcare Staffing Operations

  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate activity and documentation within the ATS.

  • Track recruiting activity, submissions, interviews, offers, starts, and placements.

  • Navigate client-specific processes and requirements.

  • Work within MSP/VMS environments when applicable.

  • Balance multiple priority requisitions while maintaining urgency, organization, and follow-through.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare recruiting experience within a staffing agency or healthcare staffing firm.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a production-driven agency recruiting environment.

  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals for contract, temporary, travel, and/or direct-hire opportunities.

  • Experience supporting healthcare staffing clients such as hospitals, health systems, clinical facilities, or other healthcare organizations.

  • Experience proactively sourcing healthcare candidates rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.

  • Experience managing multiple healthcare requisitions and candidate pipelines simultaneously.

  • Understanding of healthcare candidate screening, including clinical experience, credentials, certifications, and/or licensure.

  • Experience managing candidates throughout the full agency recruiting lifecycle.

  • Experience working toward recruiting metrics, activity expectations, submissions, interviews, placements, or other production goals.

  • Strong ATS and candidate tracking experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and sense of urgency.

Please note: Corporate/internal Talent Acquisition experience alone does not meet the experience requirements for this position.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Allied Health recruiting experience.

  • Experience recruiting therapy, imaging/radiology, respiratory, laboratory, or other Allied Health professionals.

  • Experience recruiting within an MSP/VMS environment.

  • JobDiva experience.

  • Experience supporting both contract and direct-hire healthcare recruiting.

  • Knowledge of healthcare staffing markets, pay rates, credentialing, and compliance requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
