Associate Regional IT Svc Engineer
Location: Orlando / Lake Mary, FL (Regional Travel Required)
Contract through January 2027 | Potential Extension or Full-Time Conversion

Important Requirements

Position Summary
The Associate Regional IT Svc Engineer serves as a Tier II technical support resource for multiple locations throughout the Orlando/Lake Mary area. This role is responsible for providing hands-on technical support for end-user hardware, software, networking, and peripheral equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, can identify root causes of technical issues, resolve problems independently when appropriate, and escalate more complex issues to Tier III support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II technical support for multiple regional office locations.
- Install, configure, upgrade, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, docking stations, printers, mobile devices, phones, audiovisual equipment, and other IT peripherals.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, business applications, and end-user hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networking, and printer connectivity issues.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and provide timely resolution or escalation.
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for assigned locations.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the organization's IT ticketing system.
- Maintain established service level agreements (SLAs) while providing exceptional customer support.
- Perform workstation provisioning, deployments, migrations, technology refreshes, and equipment replacements.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and lifecycle management records.
- Install, configure, monitor, test, and maintain assigned technologies.
- Support planned maintenance windows, infrastructure upgrades, and unplanned outages.
- Communicate effectively with end users regarding ticket status, scheduled maintenance, and system changes.
- Provide technical consultation, guidance, and basic end-user training.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergency support.
- Assist with disaster recovery initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and business teams on technology projects.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 1+ years of IT support, desktop support, help desk, field service, or related technical experience
- Experience supporting multiple locations or field service environments is a plus.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.) are preferred.
Technical Skills
Experience supporting and troubleshooting:
- Windows desktop and laptop environments
- Desktop hardware installation and repair
- Microsoft Office and business productivity applications
- Mobile devices and smartphones
- Network and local printers
- LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking
