Overview:
The Associate Resident Service Coordinator (ASC) is responsible for serving at properties where there is a vacancy as a result of illness, scheduling or termination and perform and/or assist in all of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) job description. This position requires a motivated and resourceful individual who is sensitive to resident needs, understands resident service coordination, can work within a team and thrive in a relatively independent work environment – taking the initiative to proactively support resident needs.
Responsibilities:
- Update key metric data in AASC Online and/or Family Metrics.
- Conduct resident assessments.
- Collaborate with agency partners to conduct programs in the absence of a full-time RSC onsite.
- Assist with completing move-ins for new residents and deactivations.
- Assist with conducting regular resident surveys.
- Support onsite RSC new hire onboarding – training on AASC Online, Family Metrics and site level best practices.
- Assist Property Manager with lease violations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the resident services field or within community-based organizations.
- Understanding of community-based organizations and resident supports such as rental assistance, utility assistance and food access.
- Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Must have strong communication and administrative skills and be flexible to work at many different properties.
- High energy and an ability to work well with others is a must.
- Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
- Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
- Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
- Must have reliable transportation as travel throughout the portfolio will be necessary.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the English language.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
