The Associate Respiratory Therapist is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles. The Associate Respiratory Therapist should be a solid performer who is fully competent in all aspects of his/her job description. He/she is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. He/She will collaborate with Physicians and Nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care. Completion of the department orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation, as required, is mandatory. This individual assists the Physician with the delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate''s Degree - AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Or
  • Bachelor''s Degree - AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • CRT with less than 5 years experience, must obtain RRT within 6 months of hire; Or
  • 5 years CRT and no RRT requirement

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
