THE ROLE:

Customer Business Development (CBD) is what we call our Sales organization at The Magnum Ice Cream Company. CBD works closely with customers and internal cross functional teams to create and implement joint business plans that deliver value for the customer and company.  CBD leaders are expected to pioneer new products, build categories, and deploy best-in-class store and digital capabilities.

The Associate Sales Director, Walmart for our Ice Cream business is a role fully dedicated to aggressively growing our Ice Cream business at Walmart through design for channel strategic growth opportunities as well as accelerated partnership and joint business planning focus.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Associate Sales Director, Walmart will establish and develop sustained business relationships and drive profitable sales volume for the Ice Cream Category.  As the associate director you are expected to deliver sales and profit share goals while improving return on holistic customer investment, in line with joint business plan targets and customer and brand strategies.

The Associate Sales Director, Walmart is also responsible for improving in-store and online presence by leading brilliant execution across the extended team of Shopper Marketing, eCommerce, Category Management, Category Insights, Business Development and Supply Chain. In addition to leading the multifunctional team, this role has one direct report, a sr. sales analyst.

  • You’re a born leader: Lead the multifunctional effort with customer counterparts; develop and execute joint business plans; manage NSV and trade investment; manage and lead retail initiatives; lead direct report and a multifunctional team.
  • You’re a strategy guru: Customize corporate marketing and merchandising programs to win with Club; Coordinate and manage CD initiatives; Coordinate Joint Business Plans
  • You love to win, and have fun doing it: Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters and driving trade investment efficiency.
  • You’re a dot connector: Routinely interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders; Balance individual customer needs while ensuring total Market integrity.
  • You are a self-starter: You love working with ambiguity, developing new solutions and influencing change with a strong bias for action.

Ideal Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • 8+ years’ Customer Business Manager or equivalent management experience required
  • Walmart channel Account Management with CPG is a must.
  • Experience in omni-channel and demonstrated eCommerce capabilities
  • Trade Marketing and Category Management experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen/IRI, Trade Promotion Management and Customer POS Data is strongly desired

  • Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Must be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner

Pay: The pay range for this position is $146,200 to $219,400. The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
