Position Overview
\nShore Innovations, representing Stryker Orthopedics, is seeking a motivated, competitive, and service-oriented Associate Sales Representative to join our orthopedic device sales team. This field-based position supports the marketing, sale, and clinical use of orthopedic products throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore.
\nThe Associate Sales Representative will work closely with experienced Sales Representatives to support surgical cases, develop customer relationships, manage inventory, and grow business throughout the assigned territory. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, clinical education, and dependable operating-room support.
\nPrimary Responsibilities
\n• Support the promotion and sale of orthopedic products throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
\n• Provide dependable coverage for orthopedic surgical procedures.
\n• Prepare for surgical cases by confirming required implants, instruments, equipment, and product availability.
\n• Deliver products and instrumentation to hospitals and surgery centers as needed.
\n• Provide surgeons and operating-room personnel with technical product support during procedures.
\n• Educate surgeons, nurses, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals on product features and proper use.
\n• Assist with product demonstrations and evaluations in operating-room and office settings.
\n• Develop a thorough understanding of orthopedic procedures, surgical techniques, instrumentation, and implant systems.
\n• Troubleshoot product and instrumentation concerns promptly and professionally.
\n• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure implants, instruments, samples, and demonstration products are organized and available.
\n• Assist with inventory audits, product rotation, loaner-set management, and replenishment.
\n• Support business-development initiatives and identify potential opportunities within the territory.
\n• Build and maintain professional relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, operating-room personnel, and other key stakeholders.
\n• Monitor territory activity and communicate account developments, customer needs, and competitive information to the sales team.
\n• Complete all required product training, clinical education, certifications, and compliance requirements.
\n• Maintain accurate case, inventory, expense, and customer documentation.
\n• Provide on-call coverage as required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
\n• Perform other duties necessary to support customers, surgical cases, and territory growth.
\nQualifications
\nRequired
\n• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education, military service, healthcare experience, or professional sales experience.
\n• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore.
\n• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and instrument sets weighing up to 50 pounds.
\n• Ability to work in operating-room environments and comply with hospital credentialing, health, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
\n• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule based on surgical-case requirements.
\n• Strong communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
\nPreferred
\n• Experience in medical-device sales, orthopedic sales, healthcare, business-to-business sales, or operating-room support.
\n• Familiarity with orthopedic surgical procedures.
\n• Experience managing medical inventory or surgical instrumentation.
\n• Demonstrated leadership, competitive achievement, or team-oriented performance.
\n• Ability to learn complex clinical and technical information quickly.
