Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join the team and contribute to cutting-edge research and development efforts. The ideal candidate will perform experiments, analyze data, and interpret results with a focus on accuracy and reproducibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing experimental protocols, contributing to internal and external reports, and supporting regulatory documentation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform experiments in accordance with established protocols and scientific best practices, ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze experiments, documenting results meticulously and providing clear interpretation.
  • Transfer and adapt experimental methods from literature, modifying protocols as necessary to meet project needs.
  • Develop and implement new experimental protocols, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Engage with team members in scientific discussions, sharing findings and insights.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and experimental challenges efficiently, maintaining laboratory workflows.
  • Contribute to internal reports, external publications, regulatory submissions, patents, and invention disclosures.
  • Support department-wide activities such as safety initiatives, recruitment efforts, and committee participation.
  • Train and mentor junior staff or trainees, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Organize resources and coordinate tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Recognize when to seek input from senior staff and when to exercise independent judgment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry; minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Preferred experience in a biopharmaceutical or related scientific environment.
  • Strong ability to conduct rigorous laboratory experiments and analyze complex data reliably.
  • Proficiency in operating standard laboratory equipment and major laboratory instruments/techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing reports and scientific documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with assay development, method transfer, or protocol optimization is a plus.
