This position is onsite at the Corporate Headquarters located in Kenosha, WI.

Support and coordinate key Sourcing functions, such as contract negotiation and administration; strategic sourcing; and supplier development, management, and improvement. Handle some moderately complex issues and/or problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. Resolve errors and handle exceptions of limited risk and complexity. Implement procedural changes meant to improve performance or efficiency. Assignments require solid working knowledge of subject matter. Act as a key sourcing resource for product management and demand planning.

Responsibilities

  • Contact suppliers to obtain price quotes, lead-time, methods of procurement, and quality data, ensuring that they support improved delivery, cost and lead time.
  • Negotiate and update contracts with suppliers.
  • Assure contract compliance for merchandised product suppliers.
  • Use corrective action process to manage supplier performance and hold suppliers accountable.
  • Execute Supplier Business Review program for merchandised product.
  • Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Demand Planning to coordinate sourcing projects as needed to assure consistent supply.
  • Operate within SQA guidelines to ensure high quality performance with respect to products and services delivered.
  • Troubleshoot and work with AP to correct payment problems for applicable suppliers.
  • Evaluate PPV to ensure correct prices are being charged for sourced products.
  • Identify and implement processes that enhance product offering, reduce cost, and/or improve quality.
  • Champion lean tools to drive performance and hold suppliers accountable to improvement goals.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, or similar discipline preferred
  • 1-2 years of business experience, primarily in sourcing or project roles
  • Product knowledge related to raw material or merchandised product lines
  • Self-motivated and well organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively within an organization at all levels
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Effective time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to be effective and achieve results in a matrixed work environment
  • Solid understanding of and exposure to contracts and other purchasing paperwork
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications a plus
