Job title: Associate Surgical Technician - Full-Time Day
Location: Santa Rosa, CA, and Santa Ana, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $83,678 to $111,589 per year
Job Summary: The Associate Surgical Technician is responsible for performing scrub technologist duties for patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures. This role supports the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care throughout surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scrub technologist duties during a variety of surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgery
Ensure the operating room is properly set up and maintained before, during, and after procedures
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and assist by passing instruments and supplies during surgery
Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols
Assist with instrument counts and maintain accurate documentation as required
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team to promote safe, high-quality patient care
Support surgical procedures for patients of all ages
Required Qualifications:
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician in a surgical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) upon hire
Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality surgical care
