OAG is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer and Data Analyst to build our internal operational capabilities, with the initial engagement focused on developing tools for our Central Scheduling Team (CST). This is an ideal opportunity for a new or recent graduate to build a broad skill set that involves understanding and identifying business needs, developing and executing a project plan, and managing deployment, in collaboration with our corporate leadership and existing scheduling team. We are seeking an individual with a background in computer science, data science, or a related field, who is comfortable providing significant input into project architecture, and working as a full-stack developer of internal-facing tools. Because we are a mid-sized company, you would work closely with senior corporate leadership, and have significantly more autonomy and responsibility than you would find at larger companies. What You’ll Do
As we progress towards a more seamless scheduling system, you will move on to new projects within our organization, such as:
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Experience While we are open to new or recent graduates, experienced hires who have worked in similar roles are preferred. We seek to develop these tools using common, widely used languages, tools, and frameworks (Python, MariaDB, etc.), but we have historically used many proprietary tools and these will have some role going forward. Given this, experience with QGenda or similar workforce scheduling software is valuable, as are common business tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, SQL, Power Automate, or other analytics and automation technologies. Healthcare workforce, physician scheduling, or clinical operations experience is a plus. Who Will Thrive in This Role The right person will enjoy digging into complex workflows and data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing practical technology-based solutions. They will be comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments and will play an important role in helping OAG build a more centralized, automated, data-driven, and scalable operation. OAG is an equal opportunity employer supporting an inclusive culture that promotes and values diversity. OAG's mission is to be the independent practice of choice for excellence in anesthesia. We hire to these values: Excellence, Independence, Stewardship, Teamwork, Integrity, and Belonging. These are the values that drive us and make OAG a great place to work. |
