We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Associate Tax Accountant within our International Tax team to help support our business. As an Associate Tax Accountant you will have the opportunity to be involved in and exposed to a comprehensive range and variety of complex tax compliance and tax planning projects. This is an entry-level position that offers a hybrid schedule at our corporate office in Carthage, MO.

So, what will you be doing as an Associate Tax Accountant?

  • Support U.S., federal, state, and international tax compliance
  • Conduct research and analysis of US and foreign tax laws
  • Assist with global tax audits
  • Assist with accounting for income taxes and SEC reporting

To be successful in this role, youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting (or in Business with an emphasis in accounting) from an accredited college or university
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly

Things we consider a plus:

  • CPA certification or candidacy
  • One or two years of post-graduate tax or accounting experience
  • 3.5 GPA or above
