TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month Position Full Time

STARTING DATE: September 2026

SALARY RANGE: $33,252 - $52,269 per school year.

Do you have experience working as a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinist or have a sound understanding of the manufacturing process? Are you looking to give back to your industry and community by working with students who represent the future workforce? Look no further! We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to serve as the Associate Teacher (AT) for our Automated Manufacturing and Machining program. Check out the duties and qualifications listed below.

DUTIES:

  1. Assist the teacher in providing instruction and supervision for high school students preparing for careers in manufacturing.

  2. Assist teacher in maintaining student records, such as discipline, attendance, and grades.

  3. Assist teacher with practical operations by supervising students and managing practical activities.

  4. Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.

  5. Other duties as determined by the classroom teacher or building administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. New York State Teaching Assistant certification must be obtained in collaboration with Human Resources.

  2. Experience in manufacturing/machining operations.

  3. Knowledgeable or willing to learn manufacturing processes and the use of power tools, lathes, and milling machines.

  4. Knowledge of blueprint reading and inspection tools.

  5. Physically able to perform all duties required of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).

  • Ability to use approved physical intervention techniques when necessary.
  • Lifting and/or carrying.
  • Standing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, and/or reaching.
  • Walking, running, and/or escorting students in multiple settings.
