Associate Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

The Associate Technical Project Manager will support the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with some exposure to technology/software development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for project management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning and Coordination:

• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Project Execution:

• Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

Communication and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders

Risk Management:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Track project risks and implement contingency plans as needed

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

Technical Support:

• Provide technical assistance and support to project teams
• Understand and analyze technical requirements and translate them into project tasks and milestones

 

Qualifications: 

• 1-year of experience in technical project management, project coordinator, or related role
• Experience working with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Some experience in the technology, software, or public safety industries preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
• Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

The starting hourly wage is anticipated between $22 and $26.40 and will be commensurate with experience.
