Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:
  • We are seeking an Associate Test Engineer (ATE) to support the assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on bringing large systems from initial mechanical assembly through wiring, system integration, functional testing, and final verification.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with complex equipment or electromechanical systems, and an interest in troubleshooting hardware, wiring, robotics, and automated systems. Candidates with relevant technical projects or hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, automation, or equipment assembly are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and integrate mechanical and electromechanical components into complex equipment.
  • Perform system wiring, cable routing, connector installation, and electrical integration.
  • Support equipment bring-up, system setup, functional testing, and verification activities.
  • Execute test procedures and document test results, measurements, and system conditions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, wiring, software, and system-integration issues during equipment testing.
  • Use diagnostic and test equipment to identify faults and verify system functionality.
  • Support robotic and automated systems, including motion components, sensors, actuators, and positioning mechanisms.
  • Load and configure basic system software and assist with initial equipment setup.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify solutions.
  • Read engineering documentation and translate technical instructions into hands-on assembly and test activities.
  • Support equipment builds from initial assembly through integration, testing, troubleshooting, and final system verification.
  • Maintain accurate build and test documentation while following established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering teams to resolve system-level issues and support production schedules.
Experience:
  • 1–5 years of hands-on experience in equipment assembly, test, integration, manufacturing, robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
  • Experience with mechanical and electromechanical assembly, system wiring, cable routing, and integration.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, work instructions, and technical procedures.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic systems and mechanical components.
  • Experience performing functional testing, inspections, measurements, or basic system checks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, wiring, or system-level issues using a structured approach.
  • Comfortable working through a complete equipment build and test cycle from assembly through system verification.
Skillsets:
  • Testing or integrating complex electromechanical or capital equipment
  • Experience with robotic systems, XY stages, motion systems, sensors, motors, actuators, or automated equipment.
  • Basic test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, or other diagnostic equipment.
Education:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related technical field is a plus, but relevant hands-on experience may substitute for formal education.
