The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced Administrative Specialist IV (Working Title: Associate to the Dean)

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Associate to the Dean will provide essential support to the Dean of the College of the Arts and Sciences. This position will support the Dean's success through providing essential high-quality support to ensure the successful daily operation, management, and well-being of the College of Arts and Sciences.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist IV (Working Title: Associate to the Dean) are the following:
The Associate to the Dean manages the Dean''s calendar for meetings and events while serving as a key liaison to university and college leaders and their schedulers and staff.
The Associate to the Dean ensures that the Dean is prepared with all necessary materials for every meeting and event.
This position will serve as time approver for the Dean''s direct reports on behalf of the Dean.
The Associate to the Dean will provide administrative support for the College Chair's Council, College Executive Committee, and College Board of Visitors.
The Associate to the Dean will oversee travel arrangements and payment processing for the Dean, manage and coordinate special projects as needed, and contribute significantly to tracking the overall Dean's team progress, performance, and success.
The Associate to the Dean will provide key administrative and engagement support in helping to ensure a thoughtful, responsive, and impactful approach to Dean level alumni and donor engagement.
The Associate to the Dean will supervise the Dean''s office two support staff (Admin Specialist Admin and Dean's Office Administrator).
The two staff members collaborate to support the Associate and Assistant Deans, as well as to help ensure a high-quality of engagement and success for all Dean's office managed meetings, programs, and events.
As the manager of this team, this person will oversee and manage administrative actions, such as the personnel and budgetary issues necessary to support team outcomes and a successful Office of the Dean.
The Associate to the Dean will ensure all staff properly handle confidential information as well as supervise the support staff in their administrative functions.
Other duties assigned.
