Open Position: Associate, Trade Operations

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Trade Operations Associate to support the execution, reconciliation, and reporting of trading activity across our fixed income portfolios. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of trade processing, supporting timely settlement, and maintaining strong coordination across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of fixed income instruments and trade lifecycle processes, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and respond to month-end reporting and reconciliation requests
• Produce daily and weekly client trade recaps and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of fixed income trades into the accounting system
• Partner with the Portfolio Management Team to execute proper trade allocations and prevent oversells or overdrawn accounts
• Collaborate with the Cashflows Team to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet client funding and withdrawal deadlines
• Work closely with custodians and broker-dealers to ensure timely and accurate trade settlement
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, fails, and settlement discrepancies
• Process factor updates, trade corrections, and revisions, including those related to structured products and securitized assets
• Manage daily trade affirmations and communication with custodians and counterparties
• Perform daily and monthly pricing processes, ensuring accurate valuation of fixed income securities, including less liquid instruments
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, process enhancements, and operational improvements
• Process new security setups in collaboration with the I-Team and Data Management

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in trade operations, middle office, or investment operations within a fixed income environment
• Strong understanding of fixed income products (e.g., corporates, governments, municipals, securitized products) and trade lifecycle processes
• Experience working with custodians, broker-dealers, and trading/accounting systems
• Familiarity with derivatives and structured products is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with portfolio accounting systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Base Salary: $70,000 - $85,000

Bonus Eligibility
This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
