We are seeking a talented
Associate Transportation Engineer to join our team in
Folsom, Redding, or San Diego, CA. In this role, you will work under the guidance of Senior Engineers, contributing to a range of civil engineering projects from
initial concept and preliminary engineering to final design and construction. Youll have the opportunity to apply independent judgment while working on impactful transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute engineering tasks related to the planning, design, and construction of transportation projects
- Develop detailed roadway and structural designs, design calculations, technical reports, and PS&E packages for transportation facilities
- Collaborate with internal teams, utility companies, subconsultants, resource agencies, and clients
Additional Responsibilities:- Monitor project progress, budgets, and expenditures
- Conduct quality control and establish best practices for deliverables
- Mentor and guide assistant engineers, technicians, and interns
- Support marketing and proposal development efforts
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months
- 6-10 years of experience in transportation projects post-graduation
- Valid California drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:- Proven experience delivering PS&E bid packages for transportation projects
- Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination, design documentation, and local agency/Caltrans standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation design software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, or AutoCAD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to high-quality work and exceptional client service
