Associate Veterinarian (Companion Animal) – Amite City, LA

A veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join its team. This opportunity is open to both recent graduates and experienced veterinarians and offers a supportive environment for developing clinical skills and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals.
• Perform physical examinations, wellness evaluations, and vaccinations.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care recommendations to clients.
• Build strong relationships with clients and their pets.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Pursue and develop clinical interests based on professional goals.
• Participate in ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Active or eligible veterinary license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate approach to patient and client care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• New graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome to apply.
